1907: Actress Barbara Stanwyck (born Ruby Stevens), (Dynasty II, Big Valley, Thorn Birds) born. What to do? In honor of her birthday, check out one of her movies!
My favorite: The Lady Eve. She plays the daughter of a riverboat gambler and con man.
Christmas in Connecticut. She is a woman famous for her home making articles, only problem is, she doesn't have a home, just an apartment, and no family.
The Two Mrs. Carrolls. She meets and falls in love with a man whose wife is very ill. The wife dies and Barbra marries him, only to find out that there is much more going on than she realizes.
Cory Feldman (Of the Cory's of the 80's).
Check out:
Goonies. A band of adventurers set off on the hunt for treasure.
The Burbs. When new neighbors arrive, all hell breaks loose.
Dream a little Dream. My favorite of his movies.
Will Ferrell. I really only like a couple of his movies. So check out Elf, (ever heard of Christmas in July?), Zoolander or perhaps Bewitched.
Other famous people born today: Orville Redenbacher popcorn king and Ginger Rogers (did lots of movies where she danced with Fred Astaire). There are more, but I don't care as much about them. :-}
