Happy Birthday, Natalie Wood!

One of my favorite tragic actresses, Natalie Wood born in 1938 in San Fransisco, the child of a horrible stage mother, Natalie started in movies when she was 8 years old.

She was in 20 movies before she turned 16, including The Ghost and Mrs. Muir and Miracle on 34th Street.


Though she was in many movies, my favorite is Gypsy. Its nice to hear the real Natalie sing, even if her voice was not spectacular. Especially after they dubbed her voice in West Side Story.



She drowned under mysterious circumstances, she lived to be only 43.
