This is one of my all time favorite films.
Elizabeth Bennet comes from a family with five daughters, while this is not a travesty in this age, during this period, a family with no sons was pitied indeed.
When Elizabeth first meets the pretentious Mr. Darcy, he is seemingly cold and thinks himself far above the country folk he has been forced to interact with.
He thinks of Elizabeth's family as rude and unsophisticated (which her mother and sister display quite frequently throughout the film causing my finget to often hit fast forward to the best scenes between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy).
They both hurt the other and try to ignore their feeligns, but of course they fall in love and overcome his pride and her prejudice.
