American Gangster

Very good film. Alright, there are nude or mostly nude women, lots of blood and not a lot of remorse, but excellent film.
Denzel Washington is usually wonderful and it was nice to see Russel Crowe in something.

The Namesake

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from this film. I love Indian culture, some of my favorite movies are Indian (Bride & Prejudice) so it was very nice to see further into the culture, especially with a family coming to America.
It was a very interesting film and was well done. Plus, the mother works in a library, how fun is that?

Meet the Robinsons

What a cute movie. Yes, a bit boring in spots, but it is a children's movie. I loved the dinosaur (I've got a big head and little arms) and frogs the most.
Its a nice movie about choosing your own future and actions having consequences.
Good for: People who liked Over the Hedge.

Lucky Number Slevin

So, an actual movie review, who would have guessed?
It started out slow and very unbelievable but once it got to the point of actually killing people (past the initial killings) it was very interesting. I don't know that I'd watch it again, but once was good.
There was, of course, some blood, but it wasn't too bad.
I really enjoy Bruce Willis in action films and I enjoy many of the other actors in the film.
I would recommend it if you like movies akin to The Big Hit.

My Year of Reading Dangerously

Yes, okay, I never blog anymore. Sorry.
I also never read actual books anymore so I've decided (through Amy's encouragement) to join a reading challenge. Check out My Year of Reading Dangerously to sign up. You can either read their books or pick your own list.
Most of mine are either books they suggest, Amy is reading or books I've always thought that I should have read by now.

My List:
January: Great Expectations, by Charles Dickens
February: The hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
March: Cat's Eye, by Margaret Atwood
April: The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
May: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith
June: Animal Farm by George Orwell
July: The Chocolate War, by Robert Cormier
August: The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte
September: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
October: The Human Stain, by Philip Roth
November:A Month of Classic Short Stories, Various
